Aussie rules in the Pacific

When the Papua New Guinea Mosquitoes seized the 2008 AFL International Cup from the reigning champions New Zealand recently, their victory catapulted the Pacific onto the Australian Rules Football radar.
The Pacific was well represented at the big meet with teams from Nauru (where the game is the national sport) and Samoa as well as a guest team of Tongans based in Australia. Naturally PNG’s win had them ecstatic. Read more »
